A brand's mention rate in AI answers differs by model, by language and by question type, so one overall visibility figure is not enough
Citation & visibility tracking
- Reader Note:
- Only one brand was tracked, so the paper shows that the spread exists, not how large it is for anyone else. It is also a measure of where a brand gets mentioned, not of how good any model is.
- Evidence:
- Observed behaviour
- Vendor interest:
- Low
- Sample:
- Main evidence is simulation-based. The paper also collected 2,240 complete AI answers from two GPT models answering 56 product-recommendation questions in English and Japanese, with 20 repeated answers per question-model pair.
Good for
Getting a rough orientation, and deciding what to check yourself.
Not for
- Saying that one thing caused another, or predicting what you would get.
- This is one case — one company, one campaign, one account. Nothing implies it happens anywhere else.
